Development update

Just another short update on KMobileTools development:
Unfortunatelly due to the lack of man power not many ideas could be realized.
What has been done since the last update:
- I have re-added a job system (which takes care of processing jobs like "fetching address book")
- I designed a job viewer to visualize the job progress
- since I moved away from Linux, I had to make KMobileTools compile with Visual Studio.
Now not only Linux but also Windows is a possible target platform.

To see the visual changes, I have made a screen shot which reflects KMobileTools in its current state.

Development is still in progress

Since no news on this site have been published since nearly three months, I feel like I should give a short update on the development progress of KMobileTools.

KMobileTools 0.5.0-beta3

As summer is coming, the 0.5.0 final version is near too!

The (hopefully) last beta was just released, including one of the most wanted features: the Gammu Engine.
It's still a bit too difficult to configure, but it's fully working, ready to be tested.
More information and instructions on the gammu engine can be found in this page
The changelog is short, but this version also includes a lot of bugfixes, some of them user contributed, and full support to the new incoming kdebluetooth version, which will be an important release.

Listening to our users, we also added KNotify support for notifying the user about events.

And some news from the KDE 4 development: KMobileTools was just accepted and added to KDEPim, so it will be in the default KDE4 installation.

As always, you can find all release files in our downloads page.
LiveMobileTools for 0.5.0 beta3 is now released.

KMobileTools 0.5.0-beta2 is out!

The long awaited 0.5.0 beta2 version is here!
Release hilights include integration with the KDEBluetooth Framework, now the bluetooth pairing wizard is no more required! KMobileTools new device wizard will automatically discover bluetooth phones, all in a simple to use interface.
A great bugfixing work was done, avoiding most crashes and improving communication with mobile phones.
